A1 Competitions should be fun. These are the tools and limits that keep it that way, and they are all under your control.
Tools you can use right now
Set a spending limit. Cap how much you can spend per week, per month or per year. Go to My Account › Play Safe. Lowering a limit takes effect immediately; raising or removing one takes effect after a 24-hour cooling-off period.
Take a timeout. Pause your account for a period you choose, from a single day up to several months, or permanently. While paused you cannot enter competitions or receive marketing. A timeout cannot be shortened or lifted early, by you or by us, for the period you chose. Go to My Account › Play Safe.
Close your account. Get in touch and we will close your account, settle anything outstanding, and securely remove your details.
How we look out for you
We keep an eye on patterns that can suggest things are not going so well: spending repeatedly running right up to your limit, sudden jumps in ticket purchases, frequent requests to adjust limits, or signs of distress in messages to our team. Our platform also applies daily, weekly and monthly activity checks and may show you a reality check of your recent activity. When we spot something concerning, we will get in touch to talk through your options, and we may apply protective limits to your account if that is the right thing to do.

The rules we work to
- 18+ only. We ask for your date of birth when you register and we verify age before paying out prizes.
- Debit cards only. We do not accept credit cards for any purchase on this site.
- Limit increases take effect after a 24-hour cooling-off period; decreases are immediate.
- Timeouts run for the full period you choose and cannot be lifted early.
- Every competition has a free postal entry route with the same chance of winning.
